Tammie Comstock, Executive Director

I am Tammie Comstock, Executive Director and Owner of TLC Preschool.  I followed a dream of mine 15 years ago to open my own early learning school. TLC Preschool started with me, some parent volunteers, and my mom helping. As it has grown, I have had the blessing of working with so many wonderful teachers, support staff, therapists and more. I love our TLC Team, and they each bring their own individual extraordinary qualities to the school.

A little bit about me: I am a big Disney fan, especially Mickey Mouse. I love going to Disneyland to ride all the rides when possible.

My two kids have grown overnight and fill my mom’s heart daily. I have two little dogs, Bella and Theodore. You may meet them occasionally in the classroom. I enjoy being in the mountains and will hike, camp, paddle board, and ski in the beautiful backyard we call home. Recently, I followed another dream of mine and learned to ride a motorcycle.

I love how TLC Preschool has grown, and I genuinely feel honored to have worked with so many families in the Cochrane community over the years. Thank you for trusting TLC Preschool to provide your child with early learning education. We love what we do, and we love our TLC family!

Sherrie

I have been with TLC Preschool for 14 years. I started as a part-time classroom support. I am now on my fourth year of teaching.

I love all animals. My favourites are monkeys, tigers, and panda bears, and snakes are my least favourite. I have four cats and three dogs. I am also a mom to 2 teenage boys.

I am passionate about my students and love each one of them. My favourite part of working at TLC Preschool is the bonds I have created with all the families and kids, past, present, and future. My other favourite part of the day is the laughter and hugs I share with the kids.

I am looking forward to many more years ahead at TLC Preschool.

Lori

I am Lori, and I am going into my 12^th year with TLC. I started working as an Educational Assistant in the classroom and am now in my 3rd year as a lead teacher on the primary floor.

When people ask what makes me happy, I tell them, “Preschool is my Happy Place”. I have been working with kiddos since I was a teenager, babysitting for many families, including one of my favourites, a family of 11 active and busy children. I still love working with kids and enjoy spending time with 16 adventurous, creative preschoolers daily.

When I’m not at the Preschool, I love cuddling my puppy Misty, spending time doing almost anything with my kids and five grandchildren, and most recently, I love going for rides in my VW Beetle, especially with the top down.

I look forward to another great year at TLC and am excited to get to know you and your children.

Thank you for trusting me to care for and teach your precious little ones; it truly is a blessing in my life.

Lienna

My name is Lienna, and I have had the pleasure of being part of the TLC Preschool team for three years.  My favourite part of the job is seeing the children excited and curious about various things. It is amazing to watch them grow, learn, and adapt to the other children and the environment. I am lucky I get to see it first-hand.  I love building individual connections with each child. Seeing what each child is interested in and how different they are is a fun part of my day.

I am passionate about instruments, writing my own songs, and animals, such as dogs, horses, and cattle. I also enjoy spending quality time with family and friends. Long drives out into the country fill my free time and make me feel most at ease.

I have enjoyed every part of this job and appreciate working alongside such amazing people.

I look forward to the upcoming years at TLC Preschool.

Hi! My name is Kristen, and I have been with TLC for 5 years! 

Perry 

I am Perry, and I have been a proud member of the TLC Family for the past 2 years. With a career dedicated to Early Childhood Education, I have had the joy of growing alongside the little ones I work with every day.  I have. A deep passion for nurturing young minds, creating a safe, joyful environment where children can thrive. What I love most about my role is the warm hugs and bright smiles that greet me each morning, as they truly make my day.

On the home front, I am also a proud parent. My daughter just graduated from high school, which officially makes me both an experienced teacher and a survivor of teenage attitude. My favourite colour is pink and I enjoy spending my spare time going on drives with my daughter or trying new recipes in the kitchen.

Being a part of each child’s journey is an incredible privilege, and I feel grateful to play a role in their growth and development. I am looking forward to welcoming even more amazing children and families into our TLC Community.  🙂

Andie

Hi, I am Andie. I have been with TLC for 2 years.  I enjoy seeing when the kids learn something new and how they react to this new knowledge. I love being a part of those special learning moments. I share The spark of curiosity with each of the children I get to teach.

I have two kids; I love camping, being outdoors, and quad biking. One of my favourite things is spending time with my children and family, regardless of the activity. My favourite colour is blue.

I always look forward to meeting new students and watching them grow. I love how TLC feels like a family, with my fellow teachers, students, and parents.

Haillee 

I am Hailee. I have been with TLC in some capacity since 2016. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I have worked in preschool up to grade 8.  I have a passion for the sciences and inclusive education.

I have two children who are on the Autism Spectrum, which has challenged me as a parent. It has given me the opportunity to learn in-depth about Neurodiversity.  Our family loves exploring the outdoors, camping, baking, and engaging in creative sensory play. We have a cat that is spoiled with lots of love. The love spills over to us, hanging out at the Humane Society with other kittens and cats, snuggling and playing with them. My favourite drink is Bubly, and I love all the flavours.

I am passionate about students feeling a sense of belonging. Their diverse learning abilities are a key focus as I plan my lessons.  I look forward to another year with TLC and seeing all the new smiling faces.

Bonnie

My name is Bonnie, and I moved to Cochrane from Winnipeg 2 years ago. I have worked with children for over 30 years in various roles. I just love watching the facial expressions as they learn new things and seeing their growth. This will be my second year with TLC.

I have 3 children, 2 step children and 4 grandchildren. I love going for walks with my dogs, Milo and Rodney. I like reading and doing puzzles.

I am excited for a new role this school year at TLC. I look forward to getting to know the new students and their families.
